THINGS TO LOOK FORWARD TO!

HEALTH
MAY 30 2019 @ 8PM
£12. (BB MEMBERS £10)

We are delighted to welcome LA noise rock trio HEALTH to Belfast. Guests to be announced.
In 2007, HEALTH walked into a windowless, sweat-stained venue in downtown Los Angeles to record its debut album.

The band – then composed of singer/guitarist Jacob Duzsik, bassist/noise-wrangler John Famiglietti, drummer Benjamin Jared Miller and guitarist Jupiter Keyes – was locally renowned for its violent, fifteen-minute live sets. Its squalls of tribal drums, shredded guitar noise and eerily plaintive vocals sounded like nothing else in the city.

HEALTH, now a three-piece after Keyes’ departure, played prime slots at Coachella, earned a lengthy profile in The New Yorker magazine, performed alongside acts as varied as The Neighbourhood and Deafheaven and covered New Order’s “Blue Monday” for the Charlize Theron action film “Atomic Blonde.”

After releasing a series of one-off collaborations with Purity Ring, Soccer Mommy, Perturbator and Youth Code, the band’s fourth LP of original material, “VOL. 4 :: SLAVES OF FEAR,” will be released on Loma Vista Recordings on Feb. 1, 2019.

BABY DADDY
JUNE 23, 2019 @ 11AM, 1PM, 3PM
£10/£6

With three beardy men, powerful live instruments, lots of rumbling songs, and a bit of rough and tumble, this show is the daddy of them all.

Baby Daddy is a show for babies aged 6-18 months with an all-male cast. It features 3 male performers, each playing a live instrument, and takes place in a specially-designed tourable theatre space, playing to 6-8 babies at a time (and their grown-ups). It utilises Replay’s knowledge of sensory theatre, music and play, and expertise in working with babies to create a unique, safe and fun-filled show full of making friends and laughter.

Children aged between 6-18 months and their grown-ups, whether that’s Dads, Mums, Grannies, Grandas, nursery staff or carers across NI. Every child deserves the right to feel special, to be the centre of attention and to feel secure in the presence of, and valued by people of both genders. Baby Daddy exists to do just that. It also provides carers, staff and parents with the opportunity to share the experience with the child, allowing them to learn new ideas and methods to help develop relationships, build bonds and encourage creativity in a day care setting or at home.

Capacity 8 per show. (1 ticket for a parent and child) 11am, 1pm + 3pm shows !

THE RABBIT HOLE
JULY 27 2019 @ 8PM
£11. (BB MEMBERS £8)

Iain Lee (I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, BBC Radio 4, talkRADIO) and Katherine Boyle (BBC Radio 4, talkRADIO) return to Belfast for another 2 hours of silliness, stupidity and probably 1 or 2 Cher and Neil Diamond songs. The Rabbit Hole is a phone-in show recorded live in front of a baying audience who are welcome to join in at any time (if they want, no pressure here!). Which Beatle could you beat in a fight? Does anyone fancy an arm wrestle? And we will be giving away free animals (not actual animals, just the concept of animals). People can call in live on 0203 286 6370 or Skype HeyRabbitHoleShow.
This show is entirely unscripted, unplanned and unrehearsed. What happens will be very funny and partly guided by you. Are you coming down The Rabbit Hole with us?

This event is part of Comedy Lab annual Comedy Festival – full programme announced soon!

FERN BRADY: POWER AND CHAOS
OCTOBER 17, 2019 @ 8:00 PM

As seen on Live from the BBC, Live from the Comedy Store, The Russell Howard Hour, and Live at the Apollo Fern is one of the UK’s hottest comedy stars. Featured in Vogue as one of the Top 5 Female Comedians as well as the Telegraphs top 5 young comedians to watch, Fern’s career has gone stratospheric in the last 18months. She’s had viral success with her BBC Life Lessons, stormed the Australian comedy scene and supported Frankie Boyle and Katherine Ryan on Tour.
