Film Boot Camp: Get Started in Film.

Cinemagic are delivering a free two-day ScreenSkills Boot Camp for new entrants to the film industry or those interested in entering. The boot camp programme is aimed at new entrants aged 18+ and will include masterclasses, seminars and Q&A’s with industry professionals who will provide insight into the industry in a range of disciplines such as production, assistant directing, camera, sound, art department, editing, costume, hair and makeup and locations.

This is a great opportunity for new entrants to learn more about the film industry, gain insight from industry professionals, network with other new entrants and develop knowledge on other opportunities. The boot camp will introduce you to how the film industry works and how a film set runs. You will meet experts who’ve worked on films and receive freelancing and CV advice.

We are working to develop an inclusive workforce in film and television and strongly encourage applications from under-represented groups, particularly those from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds or those who consider themselves disabled.

A passion for making a career in feature films is the main criteria we are looking for in all applicants.

Places are limited – early applications are encouraged and will be considered before the deadline. The application deadline is midnight on Friday 15 November. Applicants will be notified by 21 November 2019.

Training will take place on 26 November (5pm – 9pm) and Saturday 30 November 9am – 5pm in The Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast.

This training course is supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the British Film Institute (BFI) as part of the Future Film Skills programme. Fees for this programme are fully funded by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the BFI as part of the Future Film Skills programme and therefore free to participants. Click BELOW to apply for a place. Please note applicants must register for a ScreenSkills account.
