Hi,
Can someone let me know where I can get the previous version file for my MAG 254 set top box. It seems that Infomir removed the older files from its website, and the new Informir update 254/0.2.18-r23 does not work with my IPTV provider’s IPTV server. I need 254/0.2.18-r22 version of the firmware because, I am getting STB Blocked on my MAG STB/TV.

On USB - drive, the file system FAT32, copy the file below on the root
If your STB MAG-200/250 several USB connectors then use to update the rear connector.
On a USB drive should the directory MAG250 that contain two files:
1. imageupdate
2. bootstrap
Enter The BIOS
How to enter the BIOS setup (bootloader menu) MAG-250?
* Power off STB MAG200/250.
* Press and hold the «menu» on the remote (or the power button on the front panel).
* Without releasing the «menu» (or the power button on the front panel) Power on STB MAG/250.
Select “Upgrade Tools”, pressing enter on the remote control to the right
Select “USB Bootstrap”
Connect the USB flash drive and click OK to confirm the beginning of the update process
Wait for the update, STB will reboot.

Step 1: On a USB Flash Drive.
• Format the flash drive (File system FAT32).
• Download the last Firmware. Mag250 Mag254
• Unzip the file to the Flash Drive.
• This will create on the Flash Drive, a directory mag250, containing 2 files.
• 1. bootstrap
• 2. imageupdate
Step 2: On Mag250 or Mag254
• Enter The BIOS.
• Power off Mag250/Mag254 (Power Cable OUT).
• Press and hold «menu» button on the Remote, Power On Mag250/Mag254. (Insert Power Cable).
• Select “Upgrade Tools”, pressing enter on the remote control to the right.
• Select “USB Bootstrap”.
• Connect the USB flash drive (USB back panel) and click OK to confirm the beginning of the update process.
• Wait for the update, Mag250/Mag254 will reboot.

Hello,
I am new to mag 254.trying to downgrade my firmware.
regarding download of older firmware (i used the website you provided) which file do I download I tried rootfs-0.2.18r22.tar.gz but mac has issues unzipping this file. any alternate to this?

Hi,when I extract the image update using 7 zip it unzips vmlinux.bin.mag254 which is not recognized. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
