Hi,

Do anyone have good tips and tricks when creating plugins for spyder?

I am loking for ways to:
Insert code into the editor from a plugin
Execute code in the current console ( I think I got this figured )
Send output to console
Create plot and export variables to work space
Any other good tricks

I am pretty new to python programming, but I find that I use it more
and more as an alternative to Matlab. For that Spyder is really
invaluable, and I think the plugin have great potential.

I have used the Pylint plugin as a starting point for my plug-in, but
a more simple example showcasing the many possibilities would be a
fantastic addition, and would help many newbies like me getting
started.

Thanks for the great work...

I bet even developers like me would be interested to know about your findings. Me myself would be very interested to see read brochure with recipes HowTo customize, tweak and develop various bits of Spyder. =) The http://code.google.com/p/spyderlib/wiki/SpyderPlugins is a good starting point that seems outdated to me. If you can at least check this info - everybody will surely appreciate the usage of Edit button on this page.

Feel free to ask your questions and list your proposals here. There are chances that it will help somebody else get started too.
