Can a non-CSUMB affiliated or engaged researcher complete our CITI training?

Yes. Individuals without an OtterID may register and affiliate with CSUMB in order to complete CITI training required for their research activities with us. 

Note: CSUMB students, staff and faculty should always LOG IN THROUGH MY INSTITUTION.

Step 0: Affiliated or engaged researchers (without an OtterID) register here. Enter "monterey" into the field and select the first option: California State University, Monterey Bay. 

Note: Do not select the (SSO) option - that's for folks with an OtterID. And do not complete the section for Independent Learner Program - that's for individuals not affiliated or engaged with us.

Step 1: Select both boxes and click Continue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password.

Step 2: Complete required fields and click Continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Complete required fields and click Continue to Step 4 

Step 4: Complete the required field and click Continue to Step 5. 

Step 5: Select "No" for CE credits, complete required fields and click Continue to Step 6. 

Step 6: Complete required fields and click Continue to Step 7. 

Step 7: Select the training you need and click Complete Registration. Note: If this error occurs (yellow highlighted), select one of the Human Subjects options. You don't have to complete the training (unless you need HSR training).

Step 8: Complete the required field and click Finalize Registration. 

Your CITI dashboard will look (something) like this (except of course your selected courses will be listed).
