.. index:: entry doesn't work with styles

Hi:

I'm trying to use the following:

.. index:: ``cos()``

or even better:

.. index:: :php:func:`cos()`

Because I want to get the index entry in monospace font in the index.

However, it doesn't work, because the index entry shows literally as ``cos()`` or :php:func:`cos()`.

Is there a way to do this?

Hi Ricardo,

Unfortunately, there are no way to change the style of indices. Could
you file a proposal to our issue list?
Then I'll consider the option.
