Well I'm still here and paying extra subs in anticipation.

Was this floor plan a result of last nights meeting?
Looks good.
Would the landlord mind the loss of the roller shutter?

This floor plan was presented at last night's meeting and represents the trustees' proposal for the first phase of renovation work, to be completed by the new year.

We've asked about the shutter, but the LL has so far been very accommodating and laissez-faire, so we don't expect any difficulty.

More details will be forthcoming.

Probably not. It will be a building site for three months and the weather is getting colder (I wish we were doing this in the spring!)

Thats a shame.
It would be good to get something going quickly.
It would also get more of the members into the space early so we can badger them for help with the work. Theres a danger that members will still stay away until its ready.

We need some sort of regular event along with the work parties in the arch even if its just a come and see how we are doing.

if we have a new seats and the odd table + beer and snacks we could have the odd social in there perhaps. is there any power? it might bring us all closer to the space -  if we are only doing a 3rd now what is needed for the social can be stored in the rest so it wont get in the way.

We'll see how it goes. The sooner we can do the work, the sooner it can be used for making and socialising.
