When I try to start up Soulseek (SoulseekQT 2017.2.25) on my Macbook Pro (MacOS Sierra 10.12.6), this is the screen I get.
I can write a thing in the searchfield but it doesn't search for anything. I think there's a corrupt thing in it

I have the exact same problem. If someone knows how to fix this please help. I have tried uninstalling and redownloading soulseek, but it still comes up as this.

It looks like the client window is way wider than it should be. There's code to try and make sure that doesn't happen when the client starts, but it doesn't seem to be working for some reason. I need your configuration file to try to reproduce the problem on my end. In a terminal, type the following:

cd ~/.SoulseekQt/1
zip ~/Desktop/soulseek-configuration.zip *

There should be a file named soulseek-configuration.zip on your desktop, please mail it to me via private response.

Thanks Toon for sending me your configuration file! Looks like the problem is caused by a new bug in Qt. This should work around the issue, let me know if you run into any problems:

edit: The build linked to above is deployed with the wrong version of Qt, it doesn't work. Fixing now.
edit 2: Should be ok now, hopefully.
