Product Test Engineer
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience, Masters degree a plus * 5+ years experience with CDMA systems and knowledge of standards * Experience with various software features * Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Ability to execute detailed instructions and procedures * Ability to write test strategy, test plan, and test cases with pass/fail criteria * Automated scripting experience to be able to write and/or debug test automation * Experience in formal test and field test * Knowledge of Wireless Communications Systems (CDMA, LTE) * Knowledge of test equipment, telecommunications systems, and data communication layers are preferred * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills * Software development cycle and test process experience preferred * Ability to capture and analyze RF logs * Ability to travel on short notice * Familiarity with SmartPhone operating systems preferred * Researches new technologies and features that software and system engineers are developing and creates test plans, test outlines and test cases for verification * Works from customer requirements and industry standards to enhance product performance * Analyzes and generates test reports * Develop test plans and other life cycle test documents for specific features * Defines test equipment requirements to support test execution of new features * Develop automation tools for testing and set up and maintain test systems * Executes test cases, troubleshoot failures and provides feedback on feature maturity * Debugs and characterizes defects and prioritizes software problems * Conducts off-site performance and interoperability testing on new phone software with customers * Performs repetitive regression test cases on update software releases * Reviews and interprets technical documents and Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) specifications * Performs other duties as assigned
