Software Quality Assurance Engineer

• Designs, plans, and develops test scenarios that provide thorough feature and regression testing

• Reviews requirements and design documentation to ensure functional coverage and traceability

• Executes tests and reports on test results using test case management system

• Documents clear and reproducible defects using defect tracking system

• Ability to work with minimum supervision in cross-functional/matrix organization

• Estimates QA tasks, reports test status and provides risk assessment

• Provides product expertise to the development team and outsource test partners

• Participates in defining and enforcing QA practices and process improvements

• 2 – 5 years of enterprise SaaS applications Software Quality Assurance experience

• Experience with IIS, Tomcat, or other web application servers

• Experience working with SQL Server or other RDBMS, including operation, debugging and troubleshooting

• Experience working with SQL profiler or SQL Delta is a plus

• Experience with both back-end and GUI front-end testing

• Knowledge of testing methods and the different software development methodologies

• Excellent problem-solving, analytic and troubleshooting skills

• Commitment to working within and being a highly productive member of a team

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Technical knowledge of web architected solutions

• Direct experience with enterprise product testing, including managing multiple concurrent releases

• Working with development teams using an iterative development methodology

• Working knowledge of similar scripting language is a plus

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering and/or Mathematics
