Software Test Engineer

•B.S. in computer science, information systems, math, or engineering •Minimum three years of commercial experience in software quality assurance or technical application support •A thorough understanding of industry leading software testing methodologies and concepts •The ability to generate comprehensive software testing plans and test cases based on product requirements •Experience testing usability and user interface specifications, design, and implementation •Strong troubleshooting experience and structured problem solving skills •Proficiency analyzing functional or technical requirements for completeness, correctness, and testability •Proficiency using relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2) and experience with SQL •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environment d: •Experience using commercial test management suites such as IBM Rational, Microsoft TFS, or HP Mercury •Experience in software UI design, usability, or human-computer interaction •Experience using data warehousing and business intelligence tools •Programming or scripting knowledge or professional experience
