Whitebox Applications QA Engineer

• Create or assist in the development of test plans and/or Detailed Test Cases for system changes and enhancements • Develop and execute Whitebox tests using a Linux OS • Develop and execute API test scripts using JAVA or Perl -- whatever is your favorite • Develop and execute tests using Web Services SOAP and RESTful protocols • Actively participate in daily Agile Scrums and project planning meetings • Participate in the reporting, tracking and resolution of complex software issues • Document and report test status through statistics and metrics generation • Work closely with all product team members including QA engineers, development, product support, product management and Scrum Master • Work closely with QA management on process improvement plan

• Passion for excellence in quality • Min 3 years of WHITEBOX/UNIT quality assurance testing • Experience with Unix/Linux and Shell editors a must • Experience in reviewing and digesting technical documentation and requirements • Experience creating test planning documentation • Strong understanding manual and automated testing philosophies • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environment • Knowledge of JUnit or TestNG a plus • Must be flexible • Willingness to expand and entertain new ideas • Can take ownership of tasks • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
