Quality Control and Assurance Engineer

• Initiate Quality initiatives within development and operations • Work with product owners to establish testable requirements and point out potential issues as well as helping to express those needs to development • Work escalated issues with developers and business owners to ensure "steady state" of the production systems • Write overall testing strategy for manual, performance and automation testing efforts • Design, maintain and enhance testing suites and procedures • Communicating cross-team and to various levels of management in formal and informal settings • Evaluate processes and coordinate with others to provide recommendations for standards, guidelines and procedures • Create and maintain documentation for quality assurance/control procedures • Devise and report key metrics to upper management

• 5+ yrs SQA Experience • Experience managing projects/initiatives and teams • Experience implementing and optimizing Change Management, Configuration Management and Release Management • Understanding of CMMI and/or Six Sigma • Experience in Software QA in an Scrum or Agile environment • Experience writing SQL queries against Databases • Experience using scripting tools for testing • Black box / White box testing experience • Proven ability to handle multiple projects / objectives • Must have track record of being a problem solver • Keeps up to date on the latest trends in QA • Strong experience working with business owners to create testable and complete requirements • Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and able to synthesize the results • Must be familiar with testing Internet applications • Must have used tools to do regression, scripted and load testing • Ability to analyze a situation, define and implement a process and refine existing process where needed • Should be a self-starter with great interpersonal skills and creative problem solving skills • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong understanding of testing tools and testing robots • Strong understanding of using scripting tools to create regression tests • Strong understanding of using recording tools to establish automated testing
