While I was busy trying to find a royal ascent for Brad Pitt, I
noticed a new addition for Sarah Ferguson.

You will recall how a while ago I connected the dots here
http://groups.google.com/group/soc.genealogy.medieval/browse_thread/thread/659cb945006e197/75fd5cd1983aba84?lnk=gst&q=grace+fulwood#75fd5cd1983aba84

to show that Lora Grey, the wife of George Pitt (1663-1735) of
Strathfieldsaye, Hants

was the daughter of

Audeley /Grey/ , Gent of Nether Stoway, co Somerset and later of
Kingston Maurward, Dorset
by his wife Margaret /Trevelyan/

how Audley was the son of
Angell /Grey/ of Kingston Marward, co Dorset
by his wife
Grace /Fulwood/ , heiress of Forde Hall (in 1632)

how Grace was the daughter of
John /Fulwood/ , Gent of Ford Hall, Warwickshire
by his wife
Catherine /Dabridgecourt/ of Solihull

Catherine was co-heiress of her father Thomas Dabridgecourt (d 1601),
esq of Langdon Hall, Essex by his wife Alice Griswold (d 1599) co-
heiress of her father John Griswold of London

Thomas Dabridgecourt was the son of
John /Dabridgecourt/ of Astley or Langdon Hall, Warwickshire
by his wife
Elizabeth /Wigston/

This Elizabeth Wigston was the daughter of Roger Wigston of Wolston,
co Warwick by his wife Christian Langley co-heiress of her father John
Langley

Roger Wigston died on 27 Nov 1542
Will dated 4 Nov 1542, proved PCC 3 Feb 1542/3
buried in Wolstan church.
He was born about 1476 baptised at St Martin's, Leicester

Roger's father was John Wigston, Alderman of Leicester "second son"
who died 1512

Bad Dog! Spank Spank!
Above I said that Christian (Langley) Wigston was co-heiress "of her
father" John.
Yes and no.
She WAS Co-heiress of John, but John WAS NOT HER FATHER.
He was her uncle. Her father was Edward, his next younger brother.

It's a VERY good thing I did not try to continue Sarah's line *up* the
Peyton's since Christian's mother "Miss Thame" is of unknown paretage.

Mea culpa!

Okay strike two.
He was not her uncle.
This source kindly provided by John
http://books.google.com/books?id=oGMBAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA204&dq=christian+langley+pye&lr=

appears to have done a much more in-depth look at the available
documents and states that the John who died in 1518 was the three co-
heiresses first cousin, son of their eldest uncle William. Uncle John
who was son number 2 ob s.p. although the Vis Warwick says William
also s.p. but obviously he didn't.

I have more trust in this source, new to me, than in the Vis reporting
on things 150 years earlier.
