While delving into the parentage of Colonel John Page of Jamestowne I
have seen one (or more) sources remarking that Page was a nephew of
Sir Francis Wyatt (also stating that Henry Tyler was Wyatt's nephew as
well). I've also seen reference to Francis and brother Hawte Wyatt
having a sister, Isabelle Wyatt, who was Col. John Page's mother
("Americans of Gentle Birth, Vol. 1" Wyatt Genealogy).

Page's daughter, Mary, married immigrant Walter Chiles, who at some
sources is reported to be descended from Thomas Payne and Elizabeth
(Agnes) Jermy, but supposedly this has been disproved -- where I'm not
sure.

Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Col. John Page was second son of Francis Page, of Bedfont, Middlesex, England.
Francis died in 1678, aged 85 [this born about 1593], and was buried in the
chancel of St. Mary's Church, Bedfont (APP 409). A MI to his memory recites
that it was placed there by his son "John Page of York Co. in Virginia."

There was a Page family of gentry long seated at Harrow, but I've seen much
confusion in the accounts, so one should be very careful about verifying each
step.

There is a detailed genealogy of the Page family published in 1893 that you
should hunt for.

I believe it was a book called THE PAGE FAMILY OF VIRGINIA where I
first saw the idea that Page was a nephew of Francis Wyatt. As far as
I know, Page's mother's name is a mystery. AMERICANS OF GENTLE BIRTH
apparently has a Wyatt genealogy section, but I'd like to see their
source reference for that particular information.
