The paternal Hatton ancestry is a lot less impressive than Margaret
Domville.
Thomas and Richard Hatton's father was Robert Hatton, rector of Lymm,
Cheshire (1566-1644), wife's name unknown.
Robert was the son of William Hatton of Hellesby, Frodsham, Cheshire
(died 1611) by Elizabeth Whitby (died 1626). William was son of John
Hatton of Hellesby by his wife ... Barlow. William was the son of
Richard Hatton of Hellesby, son of John Hatton of Hellesby, son of John
Hatton of the Woodhouses, Frodsham, son of Richard Hatton of the
Woodhouses, son of Thomas Hatton of the Woodhouses, son of James Hatton
of the Woodhouses, son of Geoffrey Hatton of the Woodhouses, son of John
Hatton of the Woodhouses, who is said to have settled there during the
reign of Edward II.
