Sarah Duchess of York and her continued Hansard ascent

Duchess of York ascends to Elizabeth Holte, the only (I believe) wife
of William Cavendish (1682-1720), esq of Doveridge notwithstanding
Leo's showing another wife named Mary Tyrrell, who I think is probably
a mistake for his own mother.

This Elizabeth Holte was the daughter and co-heiress of James Holte (d
1713), esq of Castleton, Lancs by his wife Dorothy Grantham (d 1718).
I had shown how we can ascend to Dorothy parents Thomas Grandham
(1633/4 - 1668) of Goltho and Frances Wentworth (d 12 Mar 1692/3)
And then to Thomas' parents Thomas Grantham (1612 - 1654/9) and
Dorothy Alford (d Aug 1673) "co-heiress of her father"
I have now found the evidence that allows us to ascend to this Thomas'
parents
Thomas Grantham, MP for Lincoln 1605
"aged 8y6m7d" on 17 Jan 24Eliz, died on 30 Jul 1630 buried at St
Martin's, Lincoln
and his wife
Frances Puckering died 26 Jan 1618/9 London, buried at St Martin's,
Lincoln daughter of Sir John Puckering, Speaker of the House, Keeper
of the Great Seal who died 30 Apr 1596 at York House by an unknown
wife
This last Thomas Grantham was the son of
Vincent Grantham (d 9 Nov 1581) of Goltho and St Katherine's near
Lincoln who was heir of his father, and who died in London
by his wife
Eleanor Ayscough (died abt 2 May 1583.
Vincent Grantham was the son of Thomas Grantham of Goltho (d 15 Oct
1558) by his wife Mary Dunham (living 27 Oct 1550)
Who has further known interesting ascent to St Paul of Snarford, and
to Sheffield of West Butterwick
Eleanor Ayscough was the daughter of Sir Francis Ayscough (d 19 Oct
1564) by his wife Elizabeth Hansard (d 29 Sep 1558)
Sir Francis Ayscough was the son of Sir William Ayscough (~1483 -
1540/1) of South Kelsey and Stallingborough; Sheriff of Lincoln; by
his wife Elizabeth Wrottesley daughter of Thomas Wrottesley
Elizabeth Hansard was the daughter of William Hansard aet 19 in 1521,
died 15 Apr 1522, by his wife Anne Tyrwhitt
William Hansard was the son of Sir William Hansard of South Kelsey,
aet 19 in 1497, died 11 Jan 1521/2 by his wife Elizabeth Hutton "co-
heiress of her father" buried 12 May 1550 St Martin's, Lincoln
Elizabeth Hutton was the daughter of John Hutton of Tudhoe, co Durham
about whom I know nothing
William Hansard was the son of Richard Hansard aet 9 in 1466, died
1497 by his wife Elizabeth Blount "co-heiress of her father" Thomas
Blount of Girsby by his wife Agnes Hawley daughter of Sir Thomas
Hawley of Utterby
Richard Hansard was the son of Richard Hansard of South Kelsey,
escheator of county Lincoln in 1448; by his wife Margaret Delamere
"heiress of her father" Thomas Delamere
Richard Hansard was the son of Richard Hansard, Knt of South Kelsey;
Sheriff of co Lincoln in 1419, died 1428, buried at St Mary's South
Kelsey by his wife Joan Hedworth, daughter of Sir John Hedworth

Are you sure about the parentage of Agnes Hawley? You may want to
check your [unspecified] sources again....
