Floodwaters are nearing their peak in Paris, with the rain-swollen Seine River engulfing major tourist areas and threatening wine cellars and museum basements, officials say.

Unusually heavy rains have swollen the Seine and other rivers in the region, forcing a halt to all boat traffic in Paris, including tourist cruises.

Some quay-side restaurants were submerged, and roads and parks were closed — along with the bottom floor of the Louvre Museum.

However, authorities said on Saturday that the flooding will not be as bad as forecast earlier this week.

The river is expected to peak in Paris on Sunday at six metres (about 20 feet) or less on the Austerlitz scale, well below the 8.6 metres hit in record floods in 1910.

Phải nói là các quóc gia bên Âu Châu dĩ nhiên có phong thái cổ kính cũ xưa thời các King với lâu đàu v.v.. và đẹp thơ mộng
nhưng history của Âu Châu trong nó cũng lắm sự tàn bạo giết dân v.v.. qua WarLords

Ngập kiểu này thì xong rồi , không thể ngồi ở các ghế dọc 2 bờ sông , không thể walking , jogging , running , riding bicycle , ... along the river !

PARIS (Reuters) - Nearly 1,500 people have been evacuated from homes in the Paris region, with authorities on alert for any major flood risk after the levels of the swollen River Seine rose further on Sunday.

Michel Delpuech, head of the Paris police body, told reporters that around 1,500 people had been moved out of homes in the Ile de France region comprising the French capital and its suburbs.

“The waters will only go away slowly,” added Delpuech.

The Seine’s waters were set to peak later on Sunday or early on Monday close to levels which led to similar flooding in 2016, authorities said.

The overflowing waters have already engulfed riverside walkways in Paris and led the world-famous Louvre museum to close a basement display of Islamic art. [nL8N1PJ4N4]

Paris’s “Bateaux Mouches” tourist boats have been shut down due to the high waters while swans have been seen swimming where there are usually pavements and rats forced up onto the streets.

Flooding caused destruction in Paris in 1910 when the Seine rose by 8.65 meters, although no deaths were recorded there.

Đúng như vậy , rất nhiều lâu đài cổ kính , nếu bỏ công tìm kiếm về lịch sử trước khi thì cũng tốt nhưng vì thăm nhiều nơi quá nên rất khó nhớ lại những gì đã đọc .
Nhiều nơi xếp hàng rồng rắn rất là dài, 2 gio sau mới vào được !
