Transnistria, and the city of Iasi) had more the character of a pogrom than

Things mixed up : Raoul Hilberg wasn`t referring to the Iron Guard
there,
but to that military junta, Antonescu`s regime, as well as the
deportation of parts of the Jewish population in eastern provinces,
from the Summer of `41 until Sep. `42 when there were no
Iron Guard any longer around (its members killed, jailed, or sent as
simple private rookies to fight on the eastrn, Don and Volga front,
or fled to Nazi Germany, where Htler kept them as POWs in
concentration camps, at Buchenwald , Dachau , and the like ,
until Aug. `44).
