Does anybody have experience of Mac software which keeps track of bank accounts? Microsoft has discontinued support for their Microsoft Money programme which my husband has used for many years. Is there something comparable for Macs which would enable him to save to iCloud so that he can access the program wherever he happens to be and provide comprehensive reports for his accountant. He does not need to send out invoices.

Hi, Virginia,

I assume that you have had a gander at the Finance category in the Mac Apps Store? In addition to Paul’s suggestions you might also look at Jumsoft’s Money, Synium’s iFinance, Peju’s Squirrel.

A common problem is interfacing with UK bank accounts which seems to be largely a problem at the banks end. You should also check iCloud syncing very carefully as this seems to be a bit of an oddity for developers.

My other suggestion is that if MS Money still does what you need then why change? I imagine it is quite stable by now.

QuickBooks is one of the best I've seen for small business...

As for saving to iCloud, that's trickier....
