Another mystery since installing Lion.  In Mail where has the facility to Bounce a message gone?  It came in handy in an attempt to stop rubbish emails.
Any other features gone missing in Lion I should know about.  Still do not like the new iCal has a very old fashioned look about it.  Thanks.

Bounce was never particularly effective at stopping spam. It only confirms your existence at that address.

Most spam is sent by PCs with viruses, so wouldn't receive or check any non delivery reports.

Similarly, you should try to preview your mails with images turned off. A lot of spam, containing images, has code in place to show the image has been viewed. Yet another way that the spammer knows your email address is a good one - and it then makes it onto the next harvested email list that they sell.

I already have automatic loading of images turned off so I can choose whether I want to download them.  I did not know some images can contain code!  I have been warned.

Thanks.

I too find the old-fashioned look unpalatable(!)

You can do away with it using the techniques here:

http://macnix.blogspot.com/2011/07/change-mac-os-x-107-lion-ical-and.html

It works for me and there's been no problems so far with the change.

Thank you for that fix. Will give the new look a bit longer but if it does not grow on me will resort to this solution.
