I've just had one of these installed with the Bluetooth card in it,
all working fine under windows with the SMA software, but I'd like to
use it on a Linksys NSLU2 running SLUGOS (Actually installed as a
Meteohub weather server)
I was wondering if the SB1700 is supported, and also anyone out there
installed on the same hardware and OS?

I've got bluetooth working on it, but gcc is failing because I don't
see to have any of the header files required, so I'm looking into
where I'd get the from, any hints?

Thanks,
Alan

I suspect a SB1700 will work set as a 3000TL but if it doesn't I can give you some steps to try and get some data and get it to work.

the only thing for the NSLU2 is to get the appropriate files. If you have bluetooth working you will need the devel or dev versions of the packages.

Thanks Stephen,

Got it all compiled, and it's getting some info - but it doesn't quite seem right.
I ran it with debug and it seems it's not sending/receiving the correct strings all the time. I've attached the debug output, hope that's of some help to you.
Is there anything I can do to help?

Not sure if it makes any difference, but it's morning and although the inverter has woken up it's not generating yet.

Thanks,
 Alan

bluetooth messages look very messed up to me..... I dont think a
1700 likes being a 3000TL. :-)
you need stephen's help...... and probably a pgm change.....

Alan,

I think we might need a scan. Do you have SunnyExplorer installed on Windows? I'll need a USB snoop to get some string detail.

Thanks again Stephen, I ran a scan with Device Monitoring Studio, it gave results for read and write that I've attached.
If only I had a clue what I was looking for!

Cheers,

Sussed it out, I saw something you had on the issue list, checked through the BT sniff, and I changed the archive code to 0x63 and it seems to be downloading the 5 minute stuff, albeit with a lot of Date Errors appearing.

Now on to get mysql working and see what's next!

Thanks for all this Stephen, and if there's anything I can do to assist, just let me know.

Cheers,
 Alan
