Hello.
I've just spent the last three days trying to run down some documentation on how to configure sipxcom device files to update Polycom VVX 310 Phones.
The weird thing is that I couldn't do a factory reset on these phones. It just kept going back to the original configuration / assigned number / profile.
(Background) I updated to latest 18.04 sipXcom software and had to remove a VVX310 phone from the CSR huntgroup. I did this and deleted the phone from Users and Devices:Phones, but eventually had to format the phones file system. When I did this, I realized I couldn't find bootrom files and no easy way to get the VVX310 back to normal via sipXcom. I uploaded 'combined' device files versions 417, and also 525. Set these files to active, but no joy.
I eventually recovered the phone via Polycoms public boot server and it's now back into the sipXcom Hunt group.
Can someone direct me to where I can find, or instruct me on how to configure sipxcom to recover VVX type phones from file format wipes.
Also after completing the upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04 , I loaded saved config file and noticed the Server domain name had doubled-up for some unknown reason. Under System:Servers, the server listed was --
sipa.vonet.ag.sipa.vonet.ag. DNS had correct listings and I had to complete the sipx-setup procedure to rename. In that respect, all is good now.
Thanks for any assistance given. Stephen.
