hello,

i am working on sipXecs 15.06 and I have an issue.
when I want to create a user, sipX displays the error message "ERROR.NAMEINUSE.SHORT". If I put this number in "alias" field, it says "ERR.MSG.CHECKUSERIDALIASFAILED"

usually, when I have this message, it means the name/extension is already use, and so I search where it is used.

But this time, i have searched everywhere, exporting the users, looking in every table of the postgres database and I do not find where it is used
I even made a screenshot of the config (diagnostic/screenshot) and look in every file, but didn't find the extension anywhere.

Do you have an idea of where it could be used ? or why is it locked ?

thanks
regards

In newer versions of the system, more of the fields were indexed for searching. I'd look to upgrade to 17.10 if I were you (and I'm not).

Other than that, hunt for aliases, hunt group ext's, park orbits, fax numbers, etc.

Create a system snapshot. then do a recursive grep in that extracted folder. You should find where it is used either in psql dump or mongo exports

grep -R "ext" your_snapshot.

You can also add some gibberish text in the search box to rebuild search index
