How to get real-time events?

Hi,

Is it possible to get real-time events from sipxcom using freeswitch ESL or does sipxcom how it's own real-time web service? 

From the sipxcom docs I can only find a REST API and a SOAP API.

Freeswitch is only used for IVR and voicemail.   For registrations, subscribe to reg-events (RFC 3680).  For call status, subscribe to dialog events (RFC 4235).  For voicemail subscribe to wmi events (RFC 3842).
