Hi folks,

What do you know about running mongodb and postgres outside of the sipx instance?

The main Idea is allow multiple sipx instances in one mongodb engine, and the same for postgres.

Best regards,

Julian-

You'd have to modify config to re-point to a different IP. And then you'd have to be able to specify a different collection I would think somehow.

The risk you run though is slowing down mongo processing. This is why we typically run database on the same server as proxy/registrar. Not sure that this is a worthwhile endeavor, but I don't know what you're hoping to accomplish.

Thanks Mike nice to hear form you ;)

The goal is to run an instance on its minimum of RAM, and I saw those two services are very demanding.

Do you have something more specific about those config files? Another question when the profile are sent those config files wouldn't get overwritten?

No, it's nothing that couldn't be done without massive development effort (and then you own it...)
