Hide / show facets on the fly

Hello!
I would like to hide or show facets depending on choosed collection.
I have tried to adapt the javascript example from this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/simile-widgets/browse_thread/thread/cbd0e153d0a85458/d65b3ac4028f0c7c?lnk=gst&q=new+ListFacet#d65b3ac4028f0c7c.
Unfortunatly it doesnt work. It seems, the listener "onItemsChanged" is not fired...
Has anybody an idea or another example to hide or show facets?
