google maps v3 and exhibit

Hi, I just wanted to know if there are any particulars when intending
to use version 3 of google maps? I have the impression most (all?)
examples provided use the previous google maps version (which required
a key).

It should most definitely be GM3.  GM3 has everything exhibit needs although done a slightly different way.  Google has basically said v2 is going away in a year or two.

Or stick only with OpenLayers.
