It’s not really clear what you are wanting to do – whether the “fixed” data is related to the data in the timeline. But if you want to put something to the right or left of the timeline, isn’t this simply a matter of putting the timeline into some sort of division of your page – either a <div></div>, or <iframe … />, or a table, and then putting the other data in other parts of the page. See the 2nd illustration in http://www.robertb.co.nz/timeline/Using%20the%20Simile%20TimeLine%20with%20ASP.htm - is this what you mean (here the “fixed” data is above and to the left – but you get the idea.
