ex:role="coordinator" does not work in 3.0

For Ex 2 the coordinator works here:http://www.simile-widgets.org/exhibit/examples/presidents/presidents.html

For Ex 3 here it does not: http://www.simile-widgets.org/exhibit3/examples/presidents/presidents.html

Does anyone know how to fix this? I have a self hosted project where I can make changes.

I have exactly the same problem - I'm trying to use coordinators to display events on map with timeline in exhibit 3.0, but it don't work.
