Now that the 3.2-beta1 has been released, I'd Iike to draw attention to several "out-of-the-box" CMS bugs that are still to be fixed.

Most of these bugs occur during "normal" CMS usage on a completely fresh install of SilverStripe, with no custom coding required to reproduce, and as such this means these issues are able to effect every SilverStripe CMS user.

It would be great if these bugs could be prioritised to make the CMS experience solid in 3.2. I'd fix them myself, but most are beyond my skill set.

Dragging & dropping to reorder pages still requires a "technique" in order for it to work as expected

A Page isn't initially labeled as "Modified" after reverting to a version from history

Undeleted page temporarily disappears from site tree after clearing filter

Insert Media (IE11): Selecting more than 1 image to upload, results in "Empty file upload result" errors

CMS Users Cannot Restore a Deleted Page without the "Edit any page" Permission

Pages that a user doesn't have permission to create, can't be reordered

Insert Media. Button active too soon resulting in no image
https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-cms/issues/1166

Update Media box: "Update" button often pushed off bottom

SiteTree UI is not updated on child pages when a parent page is unpublished
https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-cms/issues/1161

UI Bug: Multi-selection "Actions" dropdown contains redundant "Actions" item

3.2: The new page icon "status dots", don't update after a Multi-selection action

3.2: UploadField: From Files: No Thumbnails
The UploadField in 3.2 now displays the file path for files listed after clicking the "From Files" button. However, image thumbnails appear to have been removed from this view, which makes it much harder when attempting to locate a specific image. Is there a reason the thumbnail column was removed?

I reckon many of us would even be happy to contribute a small payment (we could pool this $$$) for someone to get rid of these at times annoying little CMS bugsies that create hassles for end users.

This then makes it much easier to sell upgrades.

https://www.bountysource.com/ is a good tool for attaching bounties to GitHub Issues.

are there any bounties for SS related bounties right now?

Does not look like it:

Anyone cares to post a bounty? ;-)

I see Ed just posted a bounty here:

There’s also a Github integration so you can see which tickets have bounties:

I’ve used it previously to get a feature added to SilverGraph, I think it’s a great tool/incentive. So people, stop complaining, start posting bounties ;)
And just so I’m not just bragging, I just posted a USD 15 bounty myself.

I think this is a great idea... So basically I add a bounty to an issue that I want fixed?

Or Anselm, is that one you have added a bounty to a group of fixes?

Sorry if this is an obvious question.

Cheers,
Colin

You add a bounty to an issue you want fixed. Eg. https://www.bountysource.com/issues/6522794-sitetree-drag-drop-sorting-usability-and-bugs

Just note to communicate (e.g. via a tweet), that you added a bounty. I did it like this (and fortunately @silverstripe picked up to spread the word):
