　　各位大神，小弟实在是感觉不出来Debian和FreeBSD在实际使用中的区别，感觉好像没有啥地方是FreeBSD比Debian更合适的 #_# 

　　大家来说说各自在实际运用中，哪些环境更适合使用FreeBSD吧！最主要的是为什么啊？

除非你的企业规模大到要上很稳定的 Unix 系内核或者你对 BSD 有特殊的感情或技术偏好，否则没有必要考虑 FreeBSD

BSD 现在在商业场景中的应用越来越少了，前沿和流行的服务端技术基本都在 Linux 上

但是 BSD 的技术体系还是很牛逼，有很多非常 hardcore 的玩家和黑客在维护

BTRFS正打鸡血呢...

就一些典型的服务器应用方便，除了ZFS以外，确实想不到BSD系能比Linux有多少优势了。

不过学习一下未尝不可，尤其是TCP/IP栈和流行的lib不少都是在BSD下开始起来的。

Citrix NetScaler 系列产品都是基于 FreeBSD 的，也算是吧。

BSD 网络性能出色，但 Linux 内核进步的速度已经把差距拉小了，不知道为何还会决定选择用 FreeBSD 呵呵。

个人认为，从商业公司的角度，对基础系统选型的时候，freebsd的bsd协议要比linux的gnu更保险一些，更何况bsd是以稳定著称，没有linux那么激进。

btrfs 的快照似乎总是可见的，无法像zfs一样隐藏
btrfs不支持类似zvol的功能，需要用到这种功能的场合，比较麻烦

我一直用zfsonlinux，没发现不稳定的地方。

zfs有一个问题，l2arc的数据重启就会被清空，这个比较傻，我目前用flashcache解决的。

BTW: Netapp的NAS就是基于FreeBSD的。市场还不小

zfs 一直在用, 很不錯, 但 fragment 問題現在還沒解決方案, 且隨著磁碟空間的減少發生率會愈來愈高, 在新版本下用 zpool list 就可以看到. btrfs 也有一樣的問題, 但已經在開發 defragment 工具, 不知道什麼時候穩定可用就是...

zvol 是要大推的功能, 非常好用.

另外是大量刪小檔時, cpu 會長時間被佔用, 這時候如果要重啟 or umount 的話就要等好一段時間.

我一直以為 l2arc 可以跨 reboot, 原來只是美麗的誤會...2013 年就在討論的問題, 似乎已經合到 illumos, 所以 zfsonlinux port 過這個 patch 並在 2014/9/5 close 過這個 issue, 但過了兩天又被 open, sigh~

实验环境，树莓派，还有一台防火墙仍然跑freebsd9.0，其他都是centos和红帽还要ios的掠过....

网关是FB10, ipfilter/ipnat，开了LAGG，稳定性非常好。就是升级和port rebuild太烦，也是唯一影响uptime的东西（其实还有跳闸）。

存储用的也是FB10+zfs，五块硬盘zraid，开了LAGG，也是很稳定，只要不跳闸uptime就有保证
