Hello,

I would like to know how to proceed to quickly share a folder (read-only) with non-registered users from the Desktop client (Mac OS X).

From the desktop client, I thought at first that I only have to select the folder (which creates a library) and then create the link to the library.
But it seems that I cannot create a link to the library (I can only create a link to a subfolders of a library).

It seems that the only way is to create a brand new library, copy the folder inside this library and then generate a link to that folder ?

It is a pity because copying the folder will take double the space on the hard-drive (well except if you use hard-links, but I don't expect the average user to know how to copy with hard links).

Is there something I have misunderstood ?

Thanks

You can generate a share link to that folder on your seahub.

Unfortunately I can only share a library, not generate a share link for
non-users.
It seems I can only generate a share link on folders of a library.

And the way the desktop client is designed is to easily create new
library.

Am I wrong ?

Thanks !
