Hello all!

I recently entered in the cloud computing world using Amazon EC2. And I wanted to try out the Scalr system, as I found it very promising. I've started trying it out on Scalr.net, but I've encountered some problems when setting up a server farm. The thing is that when I build a new farm, I configure three different roles (app, DB and Load Balancing) and save correctly (as explained in the "Getting Started" guide). When I go back to the farm list, the new farm recently created is there, but the servers column appear as 0/0 servers, even if I launch the farm, no EC2 instances are initiated. I am probably doing something wrong, but I have not seen anywhere any clue of what is it. If any admin can check it out, the farm id is "7272".

After trying it several times, I've decided to setup my own scalr server, but I ran into other problems. Once all is installed and configured (requirements, db, config -- all ok.), I create a new user (client), and log in with it, but when I want to configure an environment it hangs eternally, and nothing happens. Obviously the environment is not getting configured correctly. Any clue of what is happening?

Thank you very much! Any help with those issues will be really appreciated :)

You have to wait a few minutes for the cron job to run and launch the instances on scalr.net-- try again and wait a bit.

Ok, that was me getting impatient ;)
It seems that after a while, the servers appear listed indeed.

Thank you!

About the other issue, when I fill all the Amazon EC2 credentials fields and I click the save button, it hangs on the "Saving... Please wait..." popup, and does nothing. I've also waited some minutes to discard another cron waiting "problem".
I've taken a look at the logs from the admin account and syslog but nothing seems to indicate what's happening.

I've pointed out internally that this was confusing.

The second problem-- is that on Scalr.net? If so, you should post to support.scalr.net

Nop, that was on a custom install. I will investigate a little bit more on the logs, and see if I get something.
Which logs I should look on?

Check installation guide in our wiki and make sure that you've installed all requirements. Seems like you've missed some php extensions (like pecl_http).

Also you can run testenvironment.php script to see what extensions were missed.

Regards,
Igor
