Hi,

I just wanted to figure out what needs to be done to support xml literals in Scala+GWT just to discover that they just work without any additional work! It turns out that pattern matching was the only missing piece and recent improvements in this area made xml literals to work. Yay!

I'm attaching a screenshot of Showcase code that works in IDE and is being compiled by GWT without any problem (and works in a browser of course). :-)

Very nice!

That's one more way that Scala+GWT makes for better source code than
Java+GWT. Web software manipulates chunks of HTML all the time, and
Scala has native support for it.

That is very awesome...  Certainly one of the killer features of Scala+GWT I was looking forward to...

That's fantastic!

Can anyone share the status and roadmap of ScalaGWT? I'd love to start using it!

I think we are very close to first stable release with complete Scala language support.

Yesterday I managed to build latest Scala IDE with our fork of compiler which means we have IDE support working as well.

Bravo! FWIW, the existing snapshot/Eclipse setup works quite well already. Looking forward to increasing Scalafication of the GWT APIs.
