:: Leo was bringing the briefing with the Operations and Engineering
team to a close, but there were likely to be a lot of questions about
the coming mission, or so Leo thought.::

Handley-Page: Any other questions?

Mitchell: None right now sir.

Peters: Not from me, sir.

Falcon / Rix / Stevens: RESPONSES

Handley-Page: Alrighty. Well you know where I am if you need to ask
anything.

Taybrim: RESPONSE

::The meeting broke up, and the officers slowly exited the office. Leo
wonderd if he’d cut things to the bone too much. In truth, he wanted to
not tie-up the officers during their shoreleave too much. However, he
was concerned it was an all too brief ‘briefing’. Lieutenant Peters
seemed to be lurking just outside the door.::

Handley-Page: You alright, Mr Peters.

Peters: Hm? What? No...just thinking.

Handley-Page: Thinking what?

Peters: You...you don't want to know.

:: He bit his lip. Leo was very concerned about what was going through
the young man’s mind.::

Handley-Page: If it is worrying you, then I very much want know.

Peters: RESPONSE

:: Leo gestured that he and Peters should adjourn somewhere more
private. The other carried on their way back to their shoreleave
activities. Leo nodded to Kaitlyn a silent clue that he would join her
shortly.::

Mitchell / Falcon / Rix / Stevens: RESPONSES

Handley-Page: In fact, Lieutenant, I wanted to speak to you privately. I
didn’t want to mention it in front of the others, but I am passing an
award from your previous ship, the USS Darwin.

Peters: RESPONSE

Handley-Page: It is the Prometheus Ribbon.

:: Leo handed the small medal from his breast pocket.::

Peters: RESPONSE

Handley-Page: As you have some prior experience of the potential
pitfalls of what we may face in this next mission, I wanted to talk to
you first without making you an unintended magnet for questions from
others should they see you get this ribbon in public. I am sorry for
doing this without fanfare.
