::Janker bared his teeth in the smoke filled darkness. It had been so much easier to get into the secret passageway that led down to the fabled 'Below' before they had built this stupid nightclub. Then again, this passageway might have been destroyed had there not been a nightclub here, so it was an annoyance he would put up with - but an annoyance nonetheless.

The Raven was a self proclaimed 'vampire' club. It was always dark, always smoky (the regulars called it 'fog' but it smelled faintly like tobacco mingled with chocolate covered strawberries so Janker couldn't help but think of it as 'smoke') and always full of pulse-pounding music. It played up the hedonism of the vampire mystique, full of youth who wanted their angst with a side of red-tinted alcohol and lust.

Actually Janker was surprised at how many cultures across the galaxy had some variation of lore that connected with the sexy undead, the attractive but dead inside version of eternal youth. It spoke to the longing desire of teens and young adults on many worlds and the Raven reveled in all it that campy yet profitable glamour.

It had taken the Pelian a little time, but he had procured a private suit at the back of the club where he knew the entrance was. Now the problem was actually getting the secret door open. It was a false ODN relay panel. The vibrations it gave off discouraged many from investigating further, and it took special skill to unlock it.

Now it was covered up by layers of scaffolding covered in velvet and stage lights. Janker needed to break his way through to get to the panel and crack it. And he wanted to do this as carefully as possible to not arouse any suspicion. So he spent the better part of two hours finding a way to shift and wriggle through the scaffolding only to find that some idiot had bolted said scaffolding to the ODN relay panel he needed to open.

Swearing, he pulled out a little laser cutter and started shearing the bolts. so he could shift the whole structure and get the panel open. However Janker did not count on how carefully this whole set up was constructed. As soon as he shifted the scaffolding he felt something resist. Mustering all of his Pelian strength, he pushed until something popped. One of the lights was pulled out of the socket that fed it, and hissed with a miniature overload before it guttered and died.::

Janker: Crud. ::He found some of the choicest Pelian swear words and used them with remarkable drama.::

::Now he had to move fast. Panel off, he slipped inside before anyone could come and investigate. he placed the panel back on, completely invisible behind the thick velvet coverings on the scaffold and used the laser cutter to weld the panel back into place.

Ugh, the air on the other side was rancid. It hadn't been circulated in a long time, it was thin and reeked or decay. Janker clenched his teeth. It would take a lot of effort to get the Below back to its former glory, but that was a task he was willing to undertake for some major profit and power.

Now, to find the place. He tried to remember the way as he picked his footing through a tangle of cables and fished in the darkness for a light to guide him...::
