::Quintus found the nearest Jeffries Tube and began making his way down. His large rifle was strapped to his back, a phaser tucked into his uniform and his tricorder held in one hand in front of him. He crept as silently, yet quickly, as possible. His long, powerful body allowed him to crawl at a fast pace.

::A few minutes passed, then his tricorder began detecting a life sign further down the tube. He could tell it was Vulcanoid, at the least. His heart quickened a few beats, his muscles tensed. There should not have been any one else in this tube, so it meant he was closing in on his quarry. He considered drawing his phaser, his off hand going so far as to rest on the weapon. Then he remembered the brief on the bombs, where even being hit with phaser fire was enough to set them off. He growled in frustration, his hand moving away from the phaser.

::He heard a soft clanking as the figure scurried away. Quintus saw it, her?, go down an access corridor. He hurried to follow her.

::That's when his tricorder began vibrating in his hand, and he saw it. A large, greyish blob attached to a power conduit. Thankfully his tricorder hadn't set the thing off. He had no desire to die just yet, despite how much it would be an honor to the gods to die in service. His oldest brother Titus had honored the gods and Starfleet enough with his death years before. Though he had only been a child when Titus died, he remembered how devastated the rest of the family had been, particularly Mother. He did not want to make his family suffer through that again this day.

::Quintus flipped his tricorder closed, stowing it on his belt. He pondered a moment, trying to decide whether to follow the saboteur or defuse the bomb. He thought the bombs took higher priority, though his orders has been to capture the person responsible. They might not get another opportunity soon. Making a decision, he tapped his badge.::

Raisillius: ::quietly:: =/\= Raisillius to Commander Taybrim. =/\=

Taybrim: =/\= Response?

Raisillius: =/\= Sir, I'm in a Jeffries Tube and I've reached a bomb. It's attached to an inactive power conduit. I'm trying to get it loose now. I saw the saboteur setting it, but she got away. She's headed down an access corridor near me. I was afraid she might be carrying more of the substance, so did not fire. It's possible you can still trace her signal and attempt to subdue her elsewhere. =/\=

::Quintus began prying away the blobby mess, attempting to remove the sticky bomb from the conduit.::

Taybrim: =/\= Response?

Raisillius: =/\= Understood. I'll keep at it. Raisillius out. =/\=
