::This wouldn’t be the first time that Kali would be witness to the resignation of a high ranking Starfleet officer. She remembered another, vaguely, and mostly from the reports that she had read. It seemed that, one time in the past, high ranking members of the Black Tower had conspired against all that Starfleet stood for.::
::Back then, the tower was untouchable. They could operate however they wanted, under the guise that there were choices that had to be made but people didn’t want to make. Instead of taking responsibility of the ranks that were held, other higher ranking officers allowed it to go unspoken about and simply swept the unpleasant thoughts under the rug. But that hadn’t been Kali’s way. No, she remembered her fiery responses to that mess, at least some of them.::
::Now, as she stood outside of this door, she almost felt good in knowing that the crew of Ops was continuing that idea, the idea that Starfleet wasn’t corrupt and controlling, but that they were a true force for good. This definitely would be a crew she would be glad, and proud to be a part of.::
::With a hint of a knowing smile, she held her head high and walked through the doors to find the two men. Kinney looked just like she’d seen him when they’d talked earlier, but Taybrim, well, he looked older. For a moment, she wondered just how she could immediately think that, but quickly she chalked it up to the hazy memories on the fringe of her thoughts.::
::There was a job to do, now.::
Nicholotti: Captain. ::nodding.:: And Commodore.
::Not nodding towards him, she just offered a bit of a cold look. This man wasn’t unlike so many others who had been responsible for countless lives, all in the name of what? More power? More influence? Or just because it could be done? These types disgusted her, but she’d run into far more than she had hoped were out there.::
Taybrim/Kinney: ?
Nicholotti: I assume you want to get this over with.
Taybrim/Kinney: ?
::Listening and watching as the necessary statements were made and frozen into time, Kali offered no information on her feelings on the matter outwardly. The striking blue of her eyes made for an even colder look, even without really meaning it. Perhaps that was what gave her the imposing look from time to time.::
Nicholotti: Your resignation has been accepted and is immediately in effect.
::Tapping a few keys on the padd, she secured the information that would seal the man’s fate.::
