((Main Sickbay, Deck 4, USS Njörðr))
::Carmen's head was swimming. She didn't dare open her eyes. Her fingers moved gently, as almost playing an invisible instrument with grace, she had digits.
That was a start, but any other part of her was hurting. She heard voices, but wasn't clear with who or what they were speaking. She sensed someone close.::
oO Carmen, get UP. MOVE. People need you. Stop sensing others and sense yourself! Oo
:: Her own little pep-talk seemed to work. She heard a clear voice.::
Marshall: Tis!
::Well at least the voice was vaguely familiar to her.::
Tis: Lieutenant? Is that you? Are you okay?
:: Carmen opened an eye. Then another.::
oO Well, that's another off the checklist. Oo
Marshall: Take your time, take your time. How're you feeling?
:: Tis tried to sit up but had an enormous feeling of disorientation, as well as something holding down her right leg. A burning sensation raced across her shoulders.::
Tis: What a bump that was!
Marshall: You can say that again. Do you remember where we are?
:: Carmen carefully turned her head toward the Lieutenant commander.::
oO Check! Oo
:: Carmen squeezed her eyes tightly and tried to block out the ringing in her ears, as she attempted to gather her thoughts. Clenching her fists and taking a deep breath in...::
Tis: We are on the Dakota vessel, USS
Njörðr. :: Carmen took another deep breath & reopened her eyes to see a smiling Marshall close by:: going to the conference.
Marshall: Yeah, the Njörðr. Something's happened to the ship. We've switched gravity and we're starting to move out of Sickbay. Are you hurt?
:: Carmen was unsure how to answer that. Yes she was hurting, but was it just a scratch or something more serious? Better to be safe than sorry.::
Tis: Lieutenant, I hate to bother you, :: She brought on the flashiest smile she could muster right now.:: but I have something pinning down my leg and as for my shoulder blades...could you please take a quick look and tell me the damage? A scratch I'm sure
but, well, to be sure.
Marshall: Response
:: Carmen heard another voice nearby, but the ringing in her ears was somewhat blocking out clarity.::
Tis: I need to get moving, people need us. Need to find out how many casualties.
:: Carmen attempted to get up, but the burn spread across her shoulders once more, this time causing her to let out an uncontrollable scream.::
