::Chris had been waiting patiently for some time. Perhaps not so patiently as he was pacing around the docking bay waiting for folks to appear. As their little group began to grow, he didn't recognize any of them -- all after his time. He'd spent the better part of the last decade or so in retirement tending his brother's coffee shop and the quiet life of being stationary. However, with the disappearance of the Gorkon, and his favorite adopted nephew, he couldn't just let that pass unchallenged. He'd received the message about joining the search and was told to meet here. As cryptic as it was, he complied and waited. Then, the doors stopped in their cycling as everyone made their appearance.::

::The leader of this makeshift crew stepped forward, raising his voice just enough to catch the small crowd's attention. Regardless of his rank or position, Chris had the sneaking suspicion that this man was going to be their CO for this little expedition. He made a quick head count of those present, and kept his calculations to himself.::

Brunsig: Let's get this out of the way. Starfleet's given up on the Gorkon. We're all here because we're not inclined to follow that example.

Harrington: Rules are made to be bent once in a while. This is one of those moments.

Any: Response

Brunsig: I'll be upfront. We're not going to hurt anyone, but it's not going to be legal. If you have a problem with that, walk away now.

::Chris glanced around as those who wanted to walk away might've been inclined to do so. No crime was being committed here: just an effort to find that which had been lost. Their families. He made another quick count, to see if the number tallied with his first. Then kept his mouth shut as Brunsig continued.::

Any: Response

::He waited a few moments, giving them all the chance to think and make their decision. She watched the crowd like a hawk, trying to spot any wobblers.::

Brunsig: Sienelis-- ::he pointed toward her, and she flicked a wave a the crowd:: --thinks she can find the Gorkon. What we currently lack is a means to do it. I'll explain later, but this isn't something a civilian ship can do. We need a Starfleet vessel.

Harrington: Any favors you can call in to accomplish that, sir?

Any: Response

Brunsig: The search and rescue fleet. It's sat idling outside the station while the crews take shore leave. We'll take one of them.

::While it may've been the most logical, it certainly wasn't going to be easy. Chris was one of those people who believed in the non-lethal variety of violence, only because he'd seen too much death in his time serving in Starfleet. Even as a lowly comm officer, he was not looking forward to requisitioning a ship in this fashion. He hoped that it'd be worth it and they'd find the Gorkon. That was why he was here.::

Harrington: I'm still in!

Any: Response
