[Backsim] LtCmdr Skyfire + S. Moonsong: You'll Be Back

::Chythar had packed his bags and had donned a semi-formal button down shirt to head back to HQ in. Today was the day of the party, and no other dress code seemed to have been mentioned beforehand. One of the things he never underestimated was the convenience of a pocket, as they were useful for holding pips, commendations and communicators. As much as he hated parties, as long as the press was held at bay, he’d be fine.::

::As he took one last glance around his new home, he felt for a moment that he didn’t want to leave. That he still needed to be here. To heal and recover, because he probably wasn’t there yet. And to top that all off, he had a date with Alex to look forward to.::

::Now, it was time to say goodbye to his family. He was extremely grateful for the chance they gave him, and the help he received. He needed it. Now that he was centered, he had work to do among the stars once again.::

::Sasha was leaning on the doorframe of the open bedroom door. Her arms were crossed and there was a slight smile on her face. He had come a long way in the few days he had been with them. They had kept him busy enough that he soon stopped taking the pills to help him sleep. Between Nikolai and her mother they had healed the worst of his trauma. He still had a ways to go. If she had a say in it, they would have kept him home for a full month, but his responsibilities drew him elsewhere.::

:: She knew his packed bags also contained some mementos of his time here. Some items had been shipped to his ship. A full set of bedding. A new doggy bed for Devlin who had made friends with the farm dogs and even a couple of the barn cats. She looked down at the little beagle with affection.::

S. Moonsong: The transport is here Chythar.

::The twins called him CD as Raissa did. Sasha was amused by the name shortening her children did. Lex, Dri, Ris and now CD.::

::CD heard her voice and turned around with a smile. Devlin ran over to her and pawed at her leg, wanting to bid her a fond puppylicking farewell as only he was capable of. The doc came to the door and kissed her cheek as he took in a final glance of home. He approved of having a family again, and part of him was reluctant to leave.::

Skyfire: Thanks for all you’ve done. It’s helped.

S. Moonsong: ::She leaned down to give Devlin his deserved loving. He was also the owner of more than one puppy sweaters.:: That is what family is for Chythar. ::she gave the human a look.:: This was not a one time visit.

Skyfire: Nah, Ah promise Ah’ll be in touch more often.

Devlin: Raff raff!

::CD picked up the little canine who gave Sasha a quick face licking before he was put on the ground again.::

Skyfire: We should get going. ::As he picked up his effects, he gave Sasha a kiss on the cheek.:: Thanks again, Ma.

S. Moonsong: ::She smiled feeling the real affection from him.:: Take care of yourself, honey.

::With a happy sigh, he picked up his bags and glanced down at his little beagle friend.::

Skyfire: Come on, Devlin. Let’s go.

::He made his way to the transport with the bags and Devlin running alongside. As he made himself comfortable in the shuttle, he felt happy. He’d found a family in light of losing his biological one all those years ago.::

::Sasha waved as the small transport lifted away. Raissa never sent or brought people home unless they really needed it. Chythar was her son. She officially at least in her mind, had two children in Starfleet. So she had two children to worry about. But that was what a mother did.::

::As the shuttle took off, CD found himself staring back at the farm. Devlin put his paws on the window as though trying to plant himself back into the dirt, but to no avail. Instead he fell back against CD’s chest, and licked his face. He’d be back. There was no doubt in his mind.::
