(( Outskirts of Grai, Manar Pronvice - Duronis II ))

:: Leasing a civilian shuttle was a little more of a headache than taking a star fleet shuttle, but Nugra did not feel comfortable borrowing government property for his own personal use. The words personal use had been almost foreign to his vocabulary, but lately (and probably thanks to the prying questions of Doctor Kaji), Nugra had been considering personal things and what he was going to do with his life. ::

:: All he had known since he was young was fighting. He had taken the skill in to the Vss'Nok ring where he won the coveted princess ruby, served in the Gorn Space Navy, and then fought on the side of the Rebels against the new government. There were was much more in between, but it was fighting pure and simple. Now, he had other things to think about since he was reaching the middle ages of his species. He was 248 and the average Gorn was 400 though with modern technology, it was more like 600 now. ::

:: He had lost everything when he was expelled permanently from his people and that was something that had nodded at him for awhile. Finally, he thought of something that might fix it. ::

:: The shuttle began to approach the southern continent of Til'ahn, the Manar Province was small and not well known, but the city of Grai was exactly what he had been looking for. He had put out a few calls to some Laudean businessmen explaining what he wanted to do and he had finally found someone that could help him. Glim Barak was awaiting his landing in the small city's space port. As the hatched opened, the hot wind of the desert struck him in the face and the lizard grinned with happiness. It had been quite a long time since he felt the burning sun on his skin and the hot dry air. It matched his home and with a little imagination, he could see the landscape as his homeworld of Ss'Varnon. ::

Barak: Mr. Nugra?

:: Shaking himself out of the revelry, the Gorn turned to the man who had approached. He wore the familiar colorful tunic of the Laudean and the blue mark on his head stood out. It was a common feature among the species. ::

Nugra: Yes. Mr. Barak I assume?

Barak: That's me. I'm glad that you are here. Your call was very surprising and you have interested the lord's court with your request and supporting evidence.

Nugra: I am honored they would consider it. I am not Laudean.

Barak: We know of the sacrifices that you and the people of the Federation have made. Especially with what you have submitted to us. If you'll come with me.

:: A small hover car awaited them and after an awkward boarding because of Nugra's large size, they were off for the city. After a few twists and turns, they soon found themselves in front of an ancient building. ::

Barak: This is the great house. Used to house the ambassadors and royal members of the Manaria United. We use it now to represent the Manar Province in the planetary parliament.

:: Nugra nodded respectfully and they entered. The hallways were decorated beautifully with statues, artwork, and carvings that rivaled some of the things he had seen back on his world. The Laudeans had an amazing hand when it came to architecture. In the end of their journey they were shown in to a small room where three men awaited. The oldest smiled after a quick startle. ::

Mobesh: Nugra of the house of Moong I presume.

Nugra: You presume correctly. Is there an issue with my request? I read that land rights were to be handled by the registrar of deeds.

Mobesh: :: smiling:: Mr. Nugra, you're offer to purchase the abandoned Gedesh estates. We have many laws revolving around the sale of an estate of a Baron, even of a family that no longer exists.

Nugra: ::concerned:: I see. My planet, land transactions are less ceremony.

:: Mobesh patted the gorn on the shoulder as they moved to an ancient book that was open. He motioned to it. ::

Mobesh: We did a background check on you when you made the request and we have found some things.

Nugra: Bad?

Mobesh: On the contrary. It is quite good for you. You were part of an elite group called the Defenders of the Egg?

:: Nugra tilted his head in surprise at the mention of the personal body guards of the Princess. ::

Nugra: Yes...

Mobesh: And is it true that to become a member, you are sworn to the imperial family's loyalty as a Sage?

Nugra: Yes. What is it, Sir? I am very confused.

Mobesh: To purchase the estate to start your family and your house as you requested, you would need to be of a royal descent. Part of a ruling family. Lord Valaki, the present holder of the land, has agreed that the title is equivalent to the one we call Lord. We would ask if you would be willing to not only start your house here on the planet, but retake the title of Lord for the Gedesh family.
