(( Several Hours Earlier ))
(( Promenade, Deep Space 285 ))
::Sitting on a park bench, Gunhild began appeared to be reading her PADD in great depth. In reality, she had taken the opportunity to scout her mark. Seeing the man walk past her, she spoke up.::
Sparrow: In a hurry...?
:: Vlad had been wandering around trying to take in the lay of the land and see who people regarded as important. Generally the important people had just enough problems that no one knew about and wanted to keep secret, and then the all important, those were the ones with money and would generally give in and pay him off to keep secret. While making some rounds, a woman started talking to him. He stopped to converse. ::
VonHusan: No, just stretching my legs.
::Moving the PADD to the bench, the woman folded her arms and shrugged.::
Sparrow: You just look like a man that has one too many secrets….
::Her voice trailed off, knowing full well what she was implying. Being a part of the Brekkian syndicate taught her the more subtle forms of intimidation. Though she didn’t expect the man to fall prey to such an easy ruse.::
:: Vlad instantly recognized the tone and the meaning behind it. He’d done the same thing more times than he could count. She knew about him, or was sent by someone who did. It was time to test his theories. ::
VonHusan: I can’t say I recall having seen you before. Do you know me?
Sparrow: ::Distractedly.:: I can’t claim to know anything about you. But.. I can only imagine that you have dealt with people that don’t exist?
VonHusan: We shall see about that. I should introduce myself. :: Vlad reached out his hand and without waiting, he took a hold of Gunhild’s hand to learn everything he needed to know. :: My name is, in fact, Vladimir VonHusan, and I must say, you should have been warned better about me.
:: That simple touch taught him everything he needed to know. She was prepared for him which could only mean that she was sent to find him.::
::Wihout so much as a second to allow for a response, the woman smiled sweetly, and placed a well aimed punch towards the groin, breaking the hold. Had she not been wearing skin coloured gloves so to reduce her biological trail, the woman would have had a fit regarding hygiene. Part of being a bounty hunter was cleanliness, and it was a bit too close to home when someone grabbed her hand without asking.::
Sparrow: ::Unfazed.:: I don’t recall proffering my hand forward. ::She continued, clearing her throat.:: If you aren’t careful, it is entirely possible that a lady such as myself makes the wrong impression.
VonHusan: :: Coughing :: Sorry. I was only being friendly since you started talking to me.
::Picking up her PADD, the woman began fanning herself once more. Despite her actions, the last thing that Gunhild wanted was to cause a scene… her credentials on this station, while valid could cause Starfleet to… be a bit more curious.::
Sparrow: Awfully nosy, aren’t we? ::She hummed for a second to glance at the landscape.:: I am Gunhild Sparrow. Though I haven’t entirely decided my opinion on you yet….
::In her mind, she sized up the squirrely man. He had already done some curious things, but that didn’t mean he was dangerous. It usually meant that intellect may not be his strongest suit.::
VonHusan: I will leave you alone then.
:: This woman was trouble and needed to be avoided. Vlad turned and walked away, or rather, limped away and left to go check on the repairs to his shuttle. ::
::Sitting back down on the bench, Gunhild watched as the man walked away. She wasn’t impressed, but if she walked away from the scene too quickly, she would be under greater scrutiny.::
