:: Fairioni looked at the scene in front of her. The Federation ship had launched shuttles, one to that large storm, one to the ground. They had moved in to investigate the freighter - not realizing that it was a trap, although she had given them credit for leaving their shields up. At least they were mostly sane about it... ::

oO Did you seriously think three warbirds in orbit would leave anything behind? Oo :: Fairioni mentally shrugged. She would never be surprised at the naivete of Starfleet. At least they could send fighters out. From what she could tell, this was the signal to attack, but she wasn't getting it, and she was more than happy to wait. More time for the injection to work on her daughter, more time for the mines to be readied, and honestly, more time for the ground crew to do their job. ::

oO Besides, say what you will about Starfleet, but by and large anyone who is in one of their leading ships knows their job, and a Luna-class is a serious fight for something like three older Klingon Birds of Prey. Oo ::Fairioni found it hard to concentrate on the plot at hand, though. She had always done so. Also, the injection was a little risky. Artificially triggering the final maturation of a Cygnian was always considered risky. Not only did it trigger a physical process, but the majority of the maturation was mental - often when a Cygnian would develop telepathic powers. But she needed a face, and being able to read your enemies mind was essential. Fairioni was too known to people in her sector, having been too anti Starfleet. A former Starfleet officer..? Well, that'd help, and if she managed to mysteriously escape.. she might even be a current Starfleet officer. ::

oO I am perhaps, a little overconfident I can through fair means or foul bend her to my will. Oo :: Fairioni actually counted on her daughter wanting to protect others, and her pragmatism. After all, the Federation had failed to appreciate the Cardassian threat, even if the Maquis went about it in the wrong way. Had allowed pirates to flourish. And by it's refusal to allow more aggressive ships to be put into service had prolonged the Dominion War - it was only by a fluke they won it! No, the Federation had allowed it's citizens to die, and worse yet, imposed it's ideas on everyone. Males? Equal? What laughable nonsense. Through indoctrination or overpowering Ceciri's reason, Fairioni was confident that soon her daughter would see her way. And the injection would make her vulnerable to either ::

:: It was fine if the Federation actually helped people but.. they didn't. No.. if it took her all of her life, and if she had to use the Klingons and Romulans.. she would see a stronger, proper, Republic or Empire rise - one that would properly serve it's people and benefit those deserving.. would rise. ::
