((USS Avandar, Stellar Cartography))

:: Displayed on the large dome shaped ceiling were quadrant maps.
T’Lea was putting together a map of all the areas that at one time or
another had Iconian tech. There weren’t that many, only a handful,
and most were her own personal finds.::

:: Highlighted in red was Iconia, which was located in the Romulan
neutral zone, then there was N’Dallis Prime, which was tucked behind a
wall of asteroids in the beta quadrant. Next was Omarum II, and the
scattered remains of the planet Salvainia.::

:: T’Lea was looking for a pattern, a clue as to where the next big
Iconian find might be.::

T’Lea: Highlight planet Vandros IV, gamma quadrant.

:: The galaxy popped brighter as a splash of color displayed the tiny
world. The Jem’hadar had found a gateway there.::

T’Lea: And Poseidon.

:: Another burst of color appeared.::

T’Lea: Now highlight the artificial wormhole known as, “The Rabbit Hole”.

:: Back in the Romulan neutral zone a final flash of color lit up the
area. T’Lea had been suspicious that this massive piece of technology
was Iconian, but the one thing that bothered her about that theory
was… Iconians didn’t use starships for travel. They used *gateways*.
Of course that didn’t necessarily mean that the Iconians didn’t have
starships. In fact, there had been no archaeological evidence found
to support the notion of Iconian starships one way or the other. So
the question still remained, who the hell built the Rabbit Hole, and
why did parts of it look Iconian?::

T’Lea: Display the distance between all highlighted locations.

:: The light years varied. There was no pattern; no correlating
distance to give any indication of what other planets had been touched
by the Iconians. Add to that the fact that the gateway system could
travel at least 70,000 light years and it made this quest quite
challenging. Really, at this point finding a clue would be like
looking for a needle in a galactic haystack. So far, T’Lea had had
better luck using dumb luck than any degree of mathematics to narrow
down the search.::

T’Lea: Computer, save and encrypt file and logs. Password locked – I
hate Whale. Close program.

:: The dome went dark and for a moment T’Lea stood there staring at
the console. For some bizarre reason, the Romu-vulc started to think
about her last conversation with the Counselor… or rather her last
words…::

Jolara: Of course. For what it's worth, I am sorry for whatever
happened to you. ::she started toward the door, stopping for only a
moment:: I don't think it fully worked for me.

:: The attitude readjustment hadn’t work for Jolara – whatever that
meant. Still, it was concerning enough for T’Lea to be curious about
it.::

T’Lea ::comm. tap:: =/\= T’Lea to Counselor Jolara. =/\=

Jolara: =/\= ?

T’Lea: =/\= I have been considering or last conversation and I need
to speak with you as soon as possible. =/\=

Jolara: =/\= ?

T’Lea: =/\= I am currently in Stellar Cartography if you have the
time now? =/\=

Jolara: =/\= ?

T’Lea: =/\= Acknowledged. T’Lea out. =/\=

:: Just as the conversation ended the red alert blared through the
ship and T’Lea gave a distinct wince at the volume.::

T’Lea: Computer mute red alert, and then sync this console to the
bridge science station.

:: The room fell silent, but the red glow remained.::

:: Information jumped across the screen. The newly discovered nebula
had suddenly vanished into subspace only to reappear right on
Poseidon’s doorstep.::

T’Lea: That is highly illogical.
