He had missed the cleanliness and sterility of a sickbay, but at the same time preferred it greatly from the position of a civilian where he wasn't constantly treating people. Still, he'd mentioned to Lael that this was a conversation that needed to happen in order for him to stay current, and he'd avoided it for long enough. He hoped that the Vulcan would take the request in stride and consider putting him into the rotation; preferably during non-busy hours. Such as during a shore leave, when there weren't code blues to worry about. He hated those with a passion, even though the last one he dealt with was back on Karakka.

Skyfire: Looking for you, actually. Do you have a minute?

Skyfire: Shall we step into your office, Doctor Solok?

The pair made their way into the office, and Chythar took the offered seat across from his Vulcan colleague. There was something almost reminiscent of his many conversations with other officers, such as his own words with Del about a similar issue. It all seemed so long ago, but it was still present in his mind. 

Skyfire: So, back when Captain Mei'konda asked me to return to the Astraeus in a civilian capacity, he hinted also that I could double as a doctor in the event it was needed. That meant I should've sought you out back when I first arrived, and I didn't back then because I wasn't looking forward to returning immediately in a medical capacity, but now I've realized I should probably take a few shifts to stay current, if you have no objections.
