Wow, dude. You have been blowing up my inbox for the past few days and frankly you are the reason I have been considering unsubscribing...

I don't know what you are expecting but we're a group of -volunteers-.

Frankly, I don't think I'm alone, but I refuse to talk for anyone else, when I politely tell you to take off.

Honestly, this is one of the best volunteer communities on the internet and I take your expectationalism personally. Ask a real question, pose a real problem to the community, that's awesome; I guarantee you they will give you a real answer.

This entitled attitude, where you -expect- free support is bullshit. We are volunteers and don't deserve your berating them.

Please, come back when you can respect us and ask a real question (remember: asking us to solve your homework is not a real question. Asking us to help you analyze your homework might be a legitimate question), until that time, take your expectationalist attitude and shove it
Respectfully,
Jon A

Honestly, I have belabored over the most respectful ways to tell you to shove it, and your entitled attitude really pushed me over the edge, sobi'm sorry ifbi've been too harsh, however, while I don't represent the opinion of everyone on this list, I strongly feel the way I have expressed myself to you.

Well honestly, I am a noob when it comes to these things.  Given that Satchmo is THE Ecommerce solution for Django (and a great product) I thought their would be more support for noobs that are not full time programmers.  I suppose that I am wrong.  I am used to other online communities like Web2py, webfaction or even Stack Overflow where people get back to you even if you have a dumb question.   I wrote my message last night after spending about five hours getting no where, so I admit that it was written in frustration, and it not a complaint against the community.

Your response to me, seems to be written in the same context.   I am not speaking towards the community or Satchmo, but you personally can go fuck yourself.

Sincerely,

Chawk

Let's settle down guys. There's no need to be disrespectful. There's plenty of places on the internet like that already.

I apologize that we haven't been as responsive to your requests. The challenge for me personally is that I don't know the exact answer so it would require me digging into the scenario and trying to figure it out.

My observation is that the Satchmo community has a lot of people that periodically work on Satchmo. People aren't necessarily using it on a day to day basis say like Django itself. That means that there are a lot of scenarios out there that we just don't know the quick answer to.

Hang with us. We'll try to help but at the end of the day there are limited resources and I'm very thankful to those that do chime in and help. Unfortunately, there are only so many hours in the day and we are a fairly small community.

I appreciate your hard work, i figured it out anyway.   It was an apache & mod_xsendfile issue.  I thought that I had it setup correctly.   I usually don't get heated in these discussion forums but that guy got me a little upset.  Granted, it was probably deserving of me :).   Anyways, keep up the good work.
