Dear Samvera community,
During the face to face Partners meeting at the end of March, I raised the question of whether Partners would be in favor of creating a stable team for the maintenance and ongoing development of Hyrax for a full year in the form of a Working Group. There was some discussion and a favorable sentiment at the meeting that a stable team was a good idea. It was noted that this idea was raised last year and that the idea did not generate stable effort, but rather a focus on governance.
Please carefully read the draft charter. Already, we have 4 Partners who approved of the WG and are willing to dedicate resources to the effort—there is much room for participation at this point (see membership at the end). This CfP will remain open for 2 weeks. Please respond publically if you have support from your organization and you can serve on the WG.
Best,
Carolyn
