प्रोक्ताः = said
मनीषिभिः = by wise scholars
क्रमपूर्वाः = in order or based on the order (of the words)
विकृतयः = recitation models based on change of word orders

That means,krama paata is NOT a part of ashta vikruti paaTa, as per the sloka, though in practice it is very much there. \

Then how come this krama paata came into existence?

Sorry. It may mean विकृति-s are eight beginning with क्रम in the order of संहिता. The first being प्रकृति.

Try it with the lakshana of krama in the lecture.

क्रम is not considered to be a विकृति in this context because it does not alter the word order from the samhita.
